Lottery Fraud Email Scams

A scam is a type of fraud, which begins with a surprising email notice that you have won large sums of money. The intent of the message is to dupe the recipient. Most of the lottery fraud scams come in the names of notable lottery companies, telling recipient’s to pay money to process the money or prizes they have won. Some may even ask for your name, nationality, bank account and other things to make the transfer possible. Lottery Fraud Email Scams are everywhere, thus to say it is the order of the day now.

Due to internet training many people have become so conversant with MIS tools that they dupe others. The yearning to become rich quick make people become victims of such internet frauds or scams. A quick one to that is the current Diversity lottery which is run by the American embassy which guarantees non American’s the chance to becoming permanent citizens in America others have taken it upon themselves and are duping people, notifying them of having won the lottery and have to pay money into accounts which they provide as processing fees for their travel to the US.

To be safe from lottery scams, you have to look out for the following:

Look out or find it if the lottery is a genuine one.

The genuineness of the lottery is based on the knowledge you have about the lottery and underground information you have carried out on the type of lottery

Beware of people who send you emails notifying you of lotteries you have won, without your knowledge been. Most of these emails are sent secretly into your inbox, without your knowledge.

Also bear in mind that you can never win a genuine lottery, if you have not purchased a ticket, or entered into any lottery.

Never think you have really won since the email has you name on it. It cloud just be something they have come up with themselves. Many people are out there looking out for unlucky people to dupe.

Watch out the kind of information you give out when you are surfing on the net. Be alert and do not sign up for anything that needs your name and vital information about you.

The next time you go surfing on the net be on the lookout for scams which have disguised themselves into lotteries. Bear in mind that not all that glitters is gold.
