So many sweepstakes and Contests! Some are more popular then others, I’m thinking of legit sweepstakes and Contests like PCH, HGTV or PCH Games Contests. When you spend a lot of time on the internet, you’re going to wind up seeing a lot of online sweepstakes. Some of these sweepstakes look pretty appealing. However, actually entering the sweepstakes can be a little bit tedious or lead to some daily repetitive tasks. Is it actually worth all the effort? That depends on what kind of contests you enter. Many of the sweepstakes posted online are perfectly legit, and more than worth your time. However, many more are scams, and they should be avoided at all costs. But how can you tell the difference between a scam and a legit contest? The biggest giveaway is where you see the sweepstakes posted. If you find a sweepstakes opportunity in a flashy pop-up ad, there’s a good chance it’s just a ploy to get your information. If you find it on the website of a major company, you can trust that it’s worth entering.
Even when you do enter contests hosted by legitimate companies, there are a few things you should watch out for. Be careful about giving out your cell phone number. Some companies will use that information to text you, which can lead to charges. If you enter a lot of contests, you should also be careful about your email address. You don’t want it flooded with advertisements. You may want to make a separate email account that’s just for online sweepstakes if you plan on entering a lot of contests. Check it once or twice a day.
As long as you take care to avoid scams, online sweepstakes can definitely be worth the effort. Some of the prizes are absolutely fantastic, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t try to win them. Try entering some contests right away. Good luck! Hopefully, you’ll wind up winning big.
