[kkstarratings]Large and small businesses are using Facebook sweepstakes to attract and get users to “Like” their company page. If you’re into sweepstakes, Facebook can put several at your fingertips, all with just a few clicks of your mouse. Assuming you already have a Facebook account, you will need to find them. There are a few primary companies that host these sweeps, integrate them with the company FB page, and organize and track them for the different businesses. A simple search on Google can help you find a listing of the most current sweeps by category.
Each contest will have its own set of rules. Make sure you review the sweepstakes rules before submitting your information to avoid sweepstakes and contests disqualification. The most common way to enter is to go to the company’s Facebook page and “Like” it. You will need to remain a fan of that page until the contest is over.
Complete the entry form for the company. Facebook is usually integrated with the contest, so much of your information will be pre-populated into the form. Enter any remaining information, any surveys you may be required to complete, and check for accuracy.
One final step is that many of these companies want you to “share” your sweeps entry so that your friends will see your entry on their news feed. Once you tell your friends and share this on your timeline, your entry will be complete.
I would recommend writing down or logging what Facebook sweepstakes you enter and what date the contest comes to an end. Sometimes you will need to check back on the company page to see if you are listed as a winner. Once the contest is over, it is up to you whether you continue to be a fan of that company page or not.
Somebody has to win, and you cannot win if you do not enter. Facebook Sweepstakes are popular because they require the businesses that conduct them to actually follow through with awarding the prize. I imagine out of the thousands of sweeps that are active, there are at least a few that are right for you. Have some fun, maybe win a prize or two.
